Program Information

Mode of Study :
Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering is a research postgraduate academic programme offered for full time and part time basis

All year around 

Duration :
Minimum 1 year (full time) and 2 years (part time)

Entry Requirement :

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or Technology accepted by UTHM Senate with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent; or
  2. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or Technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; or
  3. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or Technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field and rigorous internal assessment. (Working Experience Portfolio Required)
  4. Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or relevant working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by UTHM and meet the minimum CGPA based on (1) to (3). (Rigorous Assessment)
  5. Applicant with the age of 30 and above (on the year of application) with APEL A-T7 qualification can be accepted.


Entry Requirement :

International students should fullfill the minimum english proficiency level of either MUET = B3.5, IELTS = 5.0, TOEFL iBT = 40, TOEFL Essentials (Online) = 7.5, PTE Academic/ PTE Academic (Online) = 47, Linguaskill Online = 154 or ELS = 107 for International Students. (For Non-English Speaking Country)
