MDC 10101

This course is designed to strengthen students’ research competence in the context of engineering and engineering technologies. It focuses on developing skills in technical writing, problem analysis, and critical evaluation. Students will be introduced to research strategies, engineering research philosophies, theoretical frameworks, research ethics, and commonly applied methodologies in engineering studies.

 

Key emphasis will be placed on research design, experimental planning, data acquisition, elementary data analysis, and technical report writing. The course will also cover methodological approaches relevant to engineering practice and provide practical insights into the research process, enabling students to apply these methods effectively in engineering problem-solving.

 

By the end of the course, students will have a solid understanding of how to conduct structured research in various engineering disciplines. This foundational knowledge will serve as preparation for more advanced research methods and specialized investigations in their respective engineering fields.
